Ge Force new tecnology

Graphics card manufacturer, eVGA announced last Friday the release of three new GTX 260 "Core 216" products that will use a shrunk 55nm GPU as had been anticipated earlier this month. Although features will remain identical to previous GTX 260 boards, lower power consumption and improved overclocking should result from the more advanced fabrication process.

Other manufacturers are expected to follow with GTX 260 and GTX 280 products that use the updated GPUs as inventories for older models run out. Furthermore, a dual-GPU GeForce GTX 260 GX2 card is rumored to appear sometime next month.

It was also recently revealed some of Nvidia's plans for next year. A transition to 40nm seems imminent with a new high-end GT212 GPU expected to appear sometime in Q2/2009 and further mid-range and budget products based on similar technology throughout 2009.

HP Announce New PCs and Laptops

HP unveiled their new generation of all-in-one PCs. The new HP TouchSmart family of PCs feature HP software designed specifically for touch control. A finger tapped or swept across the high-resolution screen delivers quick access to information, entertainment and social networks. Without using a keyboard or mouse, consumers can play music and create playlists, zoom in or out of photos, and quickly check the weather or watch TV. These all-in-one devices would appeal to folks who dont have a lot of room and who really want a lot less clutter. The Wireless mouse and keyboard only add to the minimal experience offered by the Touchsmart Series. The HP TouchSmart IQ504 PC and the TV-tuner equipped IQ506 PC are expected to start at $1,299 and $1499.

HP also announce 16 new laptops, including the business-centric EliteBook premium series, which now arrives in a new slate of sizes and configurations. A new selection of Pavilion based Entertainment notebooks the dv4, dv5 and dv7 all of which feature with ProtectSmart Hard Drive Protection. Flybook VM

Flybook have released their latest "laptop", the Flybook VM which looks less like a laptop and more like workstation but shares the small form factor of Flybooks other products. The 12.1” VM notebook features an unusual extendable double-hinged arm on which the monitor can be slid up by 2.3” allowing it to be positions for a more optimal viewing experience.



It looks like a nice piece of kit, but at $2699 it pales in both performance and features when compared to more established brands. Still, it does indeed look cool.

Toshiba developed new LCD screen

Having square LCD monitors in the back of your vehicle’s headrests may soon be a thing of the past because Toshiba has figured out how to make a circular LCD screen. The electronics giant will unveil its no corner LCD screens next week in Yokohama at the FPD International 2007 convention. The screens use Toshiba’s proprietary low temperature poly silicon technology and allow for panel instrumentation to be circular too. Imagine having a built-in rear and side door views available on your car’s dashboard or an odometer whose background color you can change. Toshiba can currently get these LCD screens down to 2.4-inches in diameter with a contrast ratio of 600:1 , 240 x 240 resolution and 250K of colors. We’re probably still a good couple of years away from seeing this technology trickle down to the everyday marketplace but we can start imagining now the fun it will be to watch widescreen movies on circular screens.

Acme company presented at the exhibition Taitronix Autumn 2007 its interesting pullout laptop with a triple display.
